C&K Careers offers a vacancy matching service for Year 11 students looking for apprenticeships or jobs with training. See the Careers Adviser in school to get registered for this. Vacancies for apprenticeships can be found at https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship and https://recruitline.ckcareersonline.org.uk/
The C&K Careers and Kirklees Council project Works Better will support Year 11 job seekers in the Kirklees area finding and sustaining apprenticeships and employment. The Careers Adviser will make referrals to the programme as appropriate. For more information please see http://www.worksbetter.co.uk/
In Year 11 all students will receive a copy of the C&K Careers booklet ‘Get Organised’. This is full of useful information about applying to college and courses on offer. It also has advice for students applying for apprenticeships.

We are keen to involve employers in our careers education programme. We regularly have employers in school for mock interviews, assemblies or workshops to small groups of targeted students. If you are an employer and would like to be involved in our programme, please contact Claire Ridley on 07464 497358 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss how we can work together.
Parents and Carers
Helping with careers advice and navigating the different opportunities post 16 can be confusing for parents, so the Careers Adviser attends Year 9 Options Evening and Year 10 and 11 Parents’ Evenings to help answer any questions.
General advice and support is available at https://ckcareersonline.org.uk/parents-carers/y11-student and https://careermap.co.uk/careermag/
