We are Walking for Water for our Lenten Charity campaign and supporting the work of CAFOD in providing access to clean water in developing countries.

As a community we are hoping to walk the 5,500 mile distance between Huddersfield and Afar in Ethiopia. We are encouraging staff and students to send in their steps to add to the total distance walked.

All students will take part in the challenge during PE lessons w/c 8^th March. For that week students will wear school uniform (No PE kit needed) and we ask that they bring a pair of trainers with them for the walk.

Students can also send in their step counts from walking in their own time and rewards points will be given. We are keeping a tally of each year group’s miles to see which year group can do the most.

As we walk, we are walking alongside those in Ethiopia who travel miles every day to collect water.

We are hoping to raise some money for the campaign as well as raise awareness and ask that if you can donate you kindly do so via ParentPay.
